Complete kitchen modernisation makeover

Earlier this year, Hollinside was tasked with renovating an old kitchen for a client based in Gosforth. In the initial consultation, the client expressed how the current layout of the kitchen no longer met their needs and lifestyle. The team created a digital design which demonstrated how the client could make the most of the space and also included contemporary units and atmospheric under-unit lighting to bring a contemporary feel to the room.

The project involved extensive rewiring of electrics downstairs and a new electric box was installed to update the system and ensure that there was enough power in the board for the upgraded kitchen appliances. We conducted extensive safety checks at this stage. We also rearranged and replaced the piping based on the new kitchen design.

The full project involved:

• Full rip-out and disposal of the old kitchen
• Rewiring ground floor electrics
• Rearranging and replacing pipework
• Plastering and skimming the full room
• Laying down the new surface floor
• Fitting modern units, worktops and splashbacks
• Installing new flooring
• Integrating spotlights and installing under-unit lighting

The entire kitchen renovation was completed to the highest standards by Hollinside’s in-house team. The units, worktops and splashbacks were supplied by trusted brands and the project was completed on time and on budget.
